About Tavirex
Property tax analysis, democratized
Tavirex uses county assessor data, comparable sales analysis, and IAAO-standard assessment ratio methodology to help homeowners determine if their property is over-assessed and build a data-driven appeal case.
The Problem
Every year, millions of homeowners receive property tax assessments that may not accurately reflect their property's true market value. Over-assessment means overpaying on property taxes -- sometimes by thousands of dollars per year. Yet most homeowners never challenge their assessment because they lack the tools and knowledge to build a compelling appeal case.
Our Approach
We ingest assessment data from county assessor records, comparable sales from public databases, and tax rate data from state equalization boards. For each property, we run an assessment-to-market ratio analysis, estimate fair market value through hedonic regression, model appeal success probability, and calculate the expected net present value of filing an appeal -- all following IAAO standards used by professional appraisers.
Our Values
Public Data, Public Access
We use only authoritative government data sources: county assessor records, state equalization boards, Census ACS, and Tax Foundation data. Every estimate can be traced back to published datasets.
IAAO Methodology
Our assessment ratio analysis follows the International Association of Assessing Officers standard on ratio studies -- the same methodology used by professional appraisers and tax consultants.
Honest Assessment
We show you the full picture: appeal probability with confidence intervals, expected savings with Monte Carlo simulation, and realistic cost estimates. No inflated promises.
Developer-First
Every feature available to homeowners is also available through our REST API. Build property tax intelligence into your real estate platform or tax advisory practice.
